Review of top wedding banquets

After going to more than 20 wedding banquets over the years, I guess I have attended the more popular hotels time and again. So I have listed down some factors to help couples to decide. All these are based on my personal experience and taste buds:

Marina Bay Sands Hotel
Parking: Had to queue for 30 minutes to get in during crowded days
March in: Straight
Cost of a Sat night dinner: $160
Food: 4/10  (One of the worst food and service)
Conclusion: No redeeming qualities... couples normally like it because they get to enjoy the rooftop swimming pool during their stay

Fairmont / Swissotel Singapore
Parking: Had to queue for 30 minutes to get into the Raffles City car park
March in: Straight
Cost of a Sat night dinner: $145
Food: 5/10 (Only the cold dish and asparagus were good, the rest was average)
Conclusion: Totally not worth it!

Goodwood Park Hotel
Parking: Limited parking lots
March in: Straight (Windsor) L shaped (Tudor)
Cost of a Sat night dinner: $170
Food: 5/10  (Mediocre food, expected better)
Conclusion: Not sure why people like it here

Resorts World Sentosa Hotel
Parking: Hard to find lots
March in: Straight
Cost of a Sat night dinner: $150
Food: 7/10  (Liked the pumpkin rice)
Conclusion: Good infectious atmosphere but the ballroom is quite hard to find

Shangri La Rasa Sentosa
Parking: Complimentary valet parking
March in: L shaped
Cost of a Sat night dinner: $150 (Can't see the beach view at night though)
Food: 7/10  (The food was not bad, just not outstanding)
Conclusion: Good but location is not so accessible

M hotel
Parking: Easy to find parking lots
March in: U shaped (Banquet suite and has pillars) L shaped (Anson)
Cost of a Sat night dinner: $130
Food: 8/10  (The portion was huge and not bad for the price)
Conclusion: A more affordable alternative

Mandarin Oriental Hotel
Parking: Needed to wait some time to get into Marina Square car park
March in: Straight for below 35 tables
Cost of a Sat night dinner: $180
Food: 9/10  (Definitely good food)
Conclusion: For people with deep pockets

Conrad Centennial Hotel
Parking: Hard to find car park shared with Millenia walk
March in: L shaped
Cost of a Sat night dinner: $180 for table of 12 (=$150)
Food: 9/10  (Traditional food served individually)
Conclusion: Pretty good!

Orchard Hotel
Parking: Easy to find parking lots
March in: L shaped (Ballroom 3) Straight (Ballroom 1 and 2)
Cost of a Sat night dinner: $145
Food: 9/10  (Love the chilli crab bun and the cod fish... modern and unique)
Conclusion: Totally worth it!

Grand Hyatt
Parking: Easy to find parking lots
March in: L shaped
Cost of a Sat night dinner: $198
Food: 10/10  (Love the food and there are also special drinks available)
Conclusion: Getting what you are paying for!
